WHAS Reporter Jeff Woods Faces Wrongful Death Lawsuit

autoThe family of Fontaine Jeffrey, who was killed after getting hit by WHAS sports reporter Jeff Woods’ vehicle, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Jefferson Circuit Court.

Fontaine Jeffrey was killed on January 23, after she fell at a crosswalk in Louisville and got hit by a tow truck and Jeff Woods’s vehicle. The lawsuit claims that the driver of tow truck, Matthew Good, hit Jeffrey at the intersection of Jefferson and Second Streets. Afterwards, Jeff Woods struck her, “dragging her several feet down Jefferson Street.” The suit further alleges that Woods fled the scene afterwards and did not call for help.

The lawsuit, filed last week, accuses Jeff Woods, tow truck driver and the truck company for Fontaine Jeffrey’s death.
