NASCAR Star Tony Stewart Faces Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Justice on Wooden Piece Arranged by BusinessmanThe parents of 20-year-old Kevin Ward Jr., who was hit and killed by NASCAR star Tony Stewart’s car during a race at New York’s Canandaigua Motorsports Park, have filed a wrongful death lawsuit.

According to the lawsuit, Ward had climbed from his car and was attempting to confront Stewart when the latter ‘deliberately’ veered his car. It claims that, “Stewart could have easily acted reasonably and with prudence to avoid striking Ward, just as all other drivers had done as they passed Ward during the yellow caution flag.”

The plaintiffs, Kevin and Pamela Ward, are claiming unspecified monetary damages. “Our son was truly the light of our lives and we miss him terribly every day… Our hope is that this lawsuit will hold Tony Stewart responsible for killing our son and show him there are real consequences when someone recklessly takes another person’s life,” they said in a statement.
