Family of Woman Killed By U.S. Postal Truck Sues for $60 Million

autoFollowing the death of an 85-year-old Trabuco Canyon woman by a U.S. Postal truck, her family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in the Ronald Reagan Federal Courthouse, Orange County.

The $60 million suit alleges that in October 2013, Mary Honda was placing mail in mailbox at her residence at Teaberry Lane when a postman, Adam Stewart Rojas, ran over her many times, causing severe trauma. She received injuries to her head, shoulder, neck, ribs and right forearm. She was shifted to Mission Hospital where she died after a few hours.

According to attorney Scott E. Schutzman, the U.S. Postal Service as well as Rojas must pay the damages since they both were negligent.
