Defunct Philadelphia Nightclubs to Pay $7M in Wrongful Death Settlement
The lawsuit alleged that Kless was trying to hail a taxi at 4th and Market streets when a cab drove by, without stopping for him. He was cursing the taxi, however, three drunk men, Kenneth Enriquez-Santiago, Felix Carrillo and Steven Ferguson, thought he was cursing them and beat him to death.
According to the lawsuit, the defunct nightclubs Lucy’s Hat Shop and G Lounge served Kenneth Enriquez-Santiago, Felix Carrillo and Steven Ferguson beyond the point of intoxication, even though, two of them were underage.
In the settlement announced on April 15, Lucy’s Hat Shop will pay $1 million while G Lounge will pay $6 million through their respective insurance policies.
